No partial disbursement for Greece – EU’s Dijsselbloem
FXStreet (Mumbai) - EU’s Dijsselbloem, at the press conference, added that there will not be a partial disbursement for Greece and that an agreement is necessary in the next few months ahead of June deadline.
Meanwhile, the European Central Bank (ECB) President Mario Draghi said the Emergency Liquidity Assistance (ELA) will continue to be given the Greek banks so long as they are solvent. Draghi said that the higher the Greek yields go, the more Greek collateral is destroyed. Draghi reiterated that certain structural reforms in Greece are absolutely essential, while stating that progress has been made with Greece in the last few days.
