Wall Street closed down as investors fear rate hikes
FXStreet (San Francisco) - The US stocks market posted declines on Tuesday amid rising treasury yield and speculations that the Fed will hike rates sooner than later.
The Dow Jones declined 97.5 pts or 0.57% to finish the day at 17,013.87; the S&P 500 eased 13.10 pts or 0.65% to close the session at 1,988.44; while the Nasdaq Composite fell 40.00 pts or 0.87% to 4,552.29.
